The Coloradoan: The festival started out of Colorado State University’s department of communication studies in 2016, curating documentary and narrative feature films that explore a wide range of humans rights issues, from toxic masculinity in a crime-ridden Rust Belt town to a Syrian family’s harrowing journey to safety.
