Santiago DiPietro is a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at Colorado State University. He studies the cellular underpinning of bleeding and pigmentation disorders of genetic cause.  

DiPietro is also an expert on the process of endocytosis, otherwise known as the mechanisms cells use to take up molecules and materials.  

He earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Buenos Aires. DiPietro later participated in postdoctoral training at the UCLA School of Medicine.  

His work has been published in the Journal of Cell Science, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and more.
