Joshua Berger is an assistant professor of physics at Colorado State University.
His research focuses on particle physics, a subfield of physics with the goal of understanding the basic building blocks of the universe – particularly during its initial stages in the moments after the big bang.
A unique focus of Berger’s current research is on dark matter, which makes up 85% of the universe but is little understood.
He earned his undergraduate degree from McGill University and received a master’s and Ph.D. in physics at Cornell University.
Berger’s work has been published in Physics Review Letters, Journal of High Energy Physics, the European Physical Journal and more.
