Chad Reznicek is a behavioral health state specialist for the Colorado AgrAbility Project and the Colorado State University Office of Engagement and Extension. Prior to this, he spent 20 years as a licensed therapist, providing mental health behavioral services in diverse settings with a special focus on suicide prevention, trauma, mood disorders and substance abuse.
The Colorado AgrAbility Project collaborates with partners across the state and region to promote best practices and research that supports wellbeing among agricultural communities. In his role, Reznicek helps expand and improve behavioral health support and resources throughout these rural regions.
This is a mission close to his heart: both of Reznicek’s parents were raised on farms, and he grew up in a small farming community in central Nebraska.
