Amanda McQuade is the community food systems program coordinator for the Agricultural Experiment Station. In this role, she connects CSU resources of research, scholarship and service to the community to address challenges in food insecurity.
This includes working at the community systems level, including with students by helping them develop healthier relationships with food through hands-on learning on the farm and in the teaching kitchen.
McQuade earned her Ph.D in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin, but says she loves sharing the joy and curiosity of science with the public more than she has enjoyed studying gene expression.
