For media: CSU experts available to discuss supply chain issues during the holiday season and beyond

Most people don’t notice the intricacies involved with the global supply chain until it breaks, which is exactly what happened when the COVID-19 pandemic upended the world in 2020.

More than three years later, the supply chain continues to be in the news as businesses adapt to changing consumer preferences, the concept of one-day delivery and an increasingly digital world.

CSU is leading the way in supply chain research, and the following experts are available to speak with the media about a variety of issues. To arrange interviews, contact news@colostate.edu

Zac Rogers, associate professor of supply chain management

Rogers studies the financial impact of supply chain sustainability, emerging logistics technologies, supply chain cybersecurity and other emerging issues in the field.

Susan Golicic, professor of supply chain management

Golicic’s research focuses on sustainability and relationships in the global supply. She can also share her expertise on supply issues in the auto industry.

Dawn Thilmany, professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource economics

As associate director of the Regional Economic Development Institute at CSU, Thilmany’s interests lie in agribusiness management and rural economic development, as well as food systems, consumer behavior and supply-chain innovations. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Thilmany concentrated on the effects on small food producers’ local distribution systems, providing input to the federal stimulus bill of 2020.

Chris Harper, associate professor and heavy construction chair in the Department of Construction Management, and Jonathan Elliot, associate professor of construction management

Harper and Elliot can discuss their research into workforce shortages in the construction industry.

Paul Vanderspek, clinical professor of supply chain management

Vanderspek can discuss general supply chain issues, education and COVID’s impact on the industry from the perspective of both a professor and a business owner.
