WHO: A conversation between Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, moderated by Colorado State University President Amy Parsons.

WHAT: “Disagree Better: A conversation between Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis” is a special conversation about how we, as a society, can learn to disagree in a way that allows us to find solutions and solve problems.

WHEN: 10-11 a.m. on Nov. 15, 2023

WHERE: The discussion will be held in the Never No Summer Ballroom in the Colorado State University Lory Student Center, located at 1101 Center Ave. Mall, Fort Collins, CO 80521.

WHY: Our country needs to disagree better. Americans are deeply concerned and exhausted by the hyperpartisanship and polarization in our country, and rightly so. We’ve forgotten how to persuade without hating each other. But our nation’s history shows there’s a better way, and we all need to re-learn how to Disagree Better. This special conversation between Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is part of a National Governors Association initiative commencing conversations across the country: https://www.nga.org/disagree-better/.

RSVP: The event is free and open to the public; RSVP is requested. The event will be available via livestream.

The event is part of the CSU Thematic Year of Democracy and is sponsored by CSU, the National Governors Association and Colorado Politics.
