The Manabi Salsa Band, Whippoorwill and Jaanvi Gurung will take the stage in this season’s second installment of Stadium Sessions, the free outdoor performances by top Colorado bands before every Colorado State University home football game.

On each Friday before home games, a band performs live at the New Belgium Porch at Canvas Stadium between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Whippoorwill will be the featured performer on Friday, Sept. 7. Then Gurung and the Manabi Salsa Band take the stage on Saturday, Sept. 8, as part of the new Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate leading up to kickoff.

About the Tailgate

The Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate, near the intersection of Meridian Avenue and Hughes Way north of the stadium, opens to the public at 1:30 p.m., four hours before kickoff. The Tailgate not only offers the Stadium Sessions performances but also games on TV and food, beer and wine for purchase. The Tailgate is hosted by the CSU Alumni Association, Department of Athletics, and Division of External Relations, in partnership with the Bohemian Foundation and High Country Beverage.

The second season of Stadium Sessions kicked off Aug. 24-25 with shows by Lois and the Lantern, Guerrilla Fanfare and Emma Marie.

The Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center will serve as the backup venue for the New Belgium Porch, in case of inclement weather.

All Stadium Sessions performances are free and open to the public. See stadiumsessions.colostate.edu for the full schedule and more information.
