MEDIA ADVISORY: Beattie Elementary School students experiment with Little Shop of Physics on April 16

More than 100 students from Beattie Elementary School will help volunteers and staff from Colorado State University’s Little Shop of Physics practice and test hands-on science experiments and demonstrations on Thursday, April 16.
Little Shop staff will pop a giant fog-filled balloon that is 25 feet in diameter and shoot fog rings with a vortex launcher during the hour-long session, which is a practice run for the April 23 Weather and Science Day at the Colorado Rockies.

Where: CSU’s Jack Christiansen Memorial Track, corner of Pitkin Street and College Avenue, in Fort Collins
When: 1-2 p.m., Thursday, April 16
Who: Beattie Elementary students and Little Shop of Physics volunteers and staff
Why: CSU’s Little Shop of Physics staff has designed and built several hands-on experiments and demonstrations for Weather and Science Day on April 23 at Coors Field in Denver. They want to practice the experiments with Beattie students beforehand.
