Memorial Golf Tournament Benefits 4-H Youth in Colorado

The 9th annual Paul Hoshiko, Jr. Memorial 4-H Golf Tournament will be held Friday, June 4 at the Pelican Lakes Golf Course in Windsor, 1600 Pelican Lakes Point. The tournament, named in memory of a long-time 4-H’er and program supporter, supports international youth exchange trips for Colorado youth and a variety of 4-H programs in the state.

The scramble-format, shotgun start tournament still has spaces available for golfers. Play begins at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Entry fees are $100 per player and include a golf cart, green fees and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Awards will be presented for the longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin and hole in one.

Registration is limited to 120 golfers per flight, and registration deadline is May 19. Businesses or individuals wanting to sponsor the tournament can do so for a donation of $250 to $2,500. To register to play or to sponsor the tournament, call 970-491-2768 or e-mail yf@coop.ext.colostate.edu.

This annual tournament is hosted by the Colorado 4-H Youth Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to generating and providing support for 4-H educational opportunities that develop valuable life skills including leadership, citizenship, decision-making, goal setting and teamwork in Colorado youth.
