Pioneer of Trade Software Program to Share His Experiences at Colorado State University March 27 – 28

A thriving entrepreneur will share his insights as Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Colorado State University’s College of Business at 4 p.m. March 27 in Room 36 and 11 a.m. March 28 in Room 119 at Rockwell Hall on campus.

The lectures are free and open to the public. John Schaible will also meet individually with business students to share his experiences on starting a successful and unique business.

In 1995, Schaible co-founded NexTrade Holdings, an electronic securities exchange. He also designed a computer and Internet-based software program for trading.

Since its founding, NexTrade Holdings has expanded significantly and received national recognition as one of the fastest-growing companies by the Florida 100, Deloitte and Touche Fast 50, Florida Technology Fast 50 and others.

Recently, Business.com recognized Schaible as one of the "Top Ten Names to Know." He also was a nominee for the "Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2000."

Anne McCarthy, director of the Center for Entrepreneurial and Family Enterprises at Colorado State, said Schaible will be an engaging and memorable speaker for the program.

"This is an important program for the students because they are able to interact one-on-one with a highly successful entrepreneur," said McCarthy. "In this case, since John is a CSU alumnus, it will be an even more powerful experience for the students."

Schaible graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s in business administration in 1992.

Schaible will be available for interviews after his lectures on both dates.

The Entrepreneur-in-Residence program was developed in 1999 by McCarthy to provide students with real-life experiences that traditional university courses often lack.

The event is sponsored by First National Bank and the Center for Entrepreneurial and Family Enterprises.
