Colorado State University’s Wildlife Society Student Chapter Holds Auction, Banquet

Colorado State University’s student chapter of The Wildlife Society will hold its annual banquet and fundraiser Nov. 2 in the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia, Fort Collins.

The event, which begins at 6 p.m., is open to the public.

The chapter has won a variety of awards in recent years in national competition regarding knowledge of wildlife issues, including the "Best-in-the-Nation Award" in September for overall performance out of 57 student chapters. The award was presented by The Wildlife Society. Criteria included service to community, the profession and students’ contributions.

Sale of auction items will support the Colorado State student chapter. Items include framed artwork, bed-and-breakfast stays, jewelry, animal calls, fly rods and sporting goods. The evening will also feature a game-calling contest judged by the audience.

Entrees include barbecued meats and vegetarian items.

Tickets are on sale at $12 for non-students and $10 for students. Tickets are available at the door.
