Exhibition at Colorado State University’s Gustafson Gallery Honors Faculty Member in Design, Merchandising and Consumer Sciences

Colorado State University’s Gustafson Gallery will feature an exhibition Feb. 23-March 23 called "Sparks Fly: A Celebration of Artistry as Scholarship."

The exhibition will feature original designs by Diane Sparks, international award-winning apparel designer and associate professor in the department of design, merchandising and consumer sciences. Opening of the show will run 4-6 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Gustafson Gallery, located in Room 145 of the Gifford Building on campus. The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and all exhibits are free and open to the public.

Sparks won the top fashion design award at the 1997 International Textile and Apparel Association Design Competition. The exhibition will include Spark’s winning ensemble, an evening gown and coat titled "Asiatica." The garments displayed in the exhibition will include dresses, evening jackets and cocktail suits.
