Colorado Springs Gazette: Ammons helped establish what is now the National Western Stock Show while he was at the helm of the Colorado Cattle and Horse Growers Association. His work firmly tied NWSS and CSU and he also led the state as a member of the general assembly and the Governor from 1913-1915.
