Two decades later, 2004 is remembered as the ‘mean season’ as hurricanes shredded Florida

The Palm Beach Post: In the annals of climatology, only a handful of years have seen three hurricane landfalls in Florida dating back to the late 1800s. Those were 1871, 1886, 1964, 2004, and 2005, according to Colorado State University senior research scientist and hurricane expert Phil Klotzbach.
