Should You Wash Berries in Vinegar? Our Test Kitchen Cleans Up the Confusion

Better Homes and Gardens: Keep in mind that using a vinegar wash on produce may slightly affect texture and taste, according to the Colorado State University Extension, especially if you don’t rinse with plain water and thoroughly dry the berries after their vinegar bath. So be sure not to skip steps 3 and 4 above.
