Palm Beach Daily News: A leading storm season forecast doubled the number of hurricanes expected this year as El Niño hibernates and a region typically quiet until August sees an early muster of tropical systems.

Colorado State University is forecasting 15 named storms during the season that runs through November, including eight hurricanes. That’s four more named storms than its original April prediction and twice as many hurricanes.
