In first Ag subcommittee hearing on Farm Bill, US senators consider forestry, wildfires and watersheds

Greeley Tribune: Bennett, who chaired the hearing with Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas, welcomed testimony from five witnesses, including Tony Cheng, the director of the Colorado Forest Restoration Institute and a CSU professor. Cheng said research is showing the size and severity of wildfires and a changing climate are overwhelming many forests’ natural capabilities to recover.
