Colorado Politics:  A 2023 CSU Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics report shows for every $1 Colorado invests in conservation, the public receives between $31 and $49 in economic return. The total cumulative impact of conservation easement tax credits to Colorado taxpayers is estimated to be between $35 billion and $57 billion, or about $20,000 per acre conserved.
