Wall Street Journal: Hurricane researchers at Colorado State University, citing “record warm tropical and eastern subtropical Atlantic sea surface temperatures” as a major factor, expect that this year’s storm season may be “extremely active,” according to a report this month. Another forecasting service, Tropical Storm Risk, this week called the upcoming season “hyper-active.”
