In 2006, I wrote about Lt. Lewis “Dude” Dent, a star halfback at Colorado A&M from 1940-42 who was killed during World War II. Three of his teammates at A&M (now CSU) who also served during the war — Walter “Bus” Bergman, Perry Blach and John Mosley — spoke of Dent with affection and sadness.
