Coloradoan: After dropping out of Fort Collins High School, she eventually earned her GED and recently a degree in horticulture from Colorado State University. On Oct. 28, she ran her first marathon — the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C — to honor Rich, finishing in 6 hours and 26 minutes.
