Denver Post: In the early 2000s, hybrids made up less than 1 percent of grapes grown in Colorado. Today, that number is closer to 20 percent, according to Horst Caspari, a viticulture professor at Colorado State University and the state’s viticulturist, who’s been experimenting with these cultivars for the last 20 or so years.
