Sara LoTemplio is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, working to understand the connections between humans and nature.
With a background in psychology and neuroscience, LoTemplio’s research explores whether spending time in nature can lead to greater well-being outcomes, from increased cognitive control capabilities to reduced stress and slower cognitive aging.
Her work is published in Psychophysiology, Ecopsychology and the African Journal of Ecology, among other peer-reviewed publications.
LoTemplio earned her bachelor’s in psychology and environmental studies at Colby College, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Utah.
