Julie Moreno is an assistant professor in the Prion Research Center. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of misfolding proteins in the brain during neurodegenerative diseases and aging that cause neuronal toxicity.

She earned her B.S. is biomedical science from Texas A&M University and her Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology at Colorado State University.
