Jennifer Martin is an associate professor and meat extension specialist in Colorado State University’s Department of Animal Sciences. Her research focuses on meat quality and safety, with an emphasis on collaborative solutions for industry challenges.

Originally from Central Texas, Martin earned her master’s and doctoral degrees from Texas Tech University before joining CSU in 2015. She works closely with meat and livestock industry members nationwide and serves as coordinator of the Pet Food Alliance, a coalition aimed at advancing the pet food and rendering industries. Martin also co-leads the Upskilling Initiative, a workforce development program tailored to the needs of agricultural professionals.
