Jen Weaver received her Ph.D. in Translational Health Science and is a licensed occupational therapist. She is an expert on disorders of consciousness following brain injury and post-acute care services, specifically inpatient rehabilitation. She has expertise in the systematic implementation of assessments, visualizing assessment data to facilitate communication about assessment results between rehabilitation practitioners, the patient, and caregivers, as well as amplifying the caregivers’ and rehabilitation practitioners’ perceptions of care for persons with disorders of consciousness. Disorders of consciousness ranges from comatose to the minimally conscious state and being able to identify emergence from the minimally conscious state.
