Slejko holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2002) and a Ph.D. in marketing from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder (2008). Gina has over 15 years of experience in academia, an established research reputation in food and sensory marketing and an extensive teaching portfolio in marketing research and analytics.

Gina’s current research portfolio includes studies on the role of linguistics and framing on consumer response to consumer-packaged goods, as well as how sensory and creative marketing assets affect consumers’ brand perceptions.

Gina’s research appears in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, Health Psychology, Appetite, Food Quality and Preference, and has appeared in media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, BBC News, The Telegraph, Boston Globe and NPR.com.
