Slejko researches how consumer behavior affects wellness health, nutrition, and sensory marketing.
Slejko has collaborated with faculty from the CSU colleges of Natural Sciences and Health and Human Sciences to examine how parents and children together select grocery products and the effects of nutrition labels on their choices.
Slejko’s research appears in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, Health Psychology, Food Quality and Preference, and has appeared in media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, BBC News, The Telegraph, Boston Globe, and NPR.com.
Slejko received her B.A. in economics and her Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2002 and 2009, respectively.
