Dominik Stecula
Dominik Stecula is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Colorado State University. Previously, he was the Martin Fishbein Postdoctoral Fellow at the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Postdoctoral Fellow (nonresident) at the Centre for Public Opinion and Political Representation at Simon Fraser University. He received his Ph.D. in political science at the University of British Columbia.
He studies the news media environment and its effects on society by examining both the supply side (content of the news and its effects on political polarization and attitudes about topics like climate change or vaccines) and demand side of news consumption (like the structure of people’s media diets and analysis of what sources people deem credible and why).
