Bryan Dik is a vocational psychologist. His scholarly work focuses on meaning and purpose in the workplace, calling and vocation in career development, and the intersection of faith and work. He co-invented the award-winning PathwayU, an online career assessment platform used at more than 200 colleges and universities across the United States. Currently, he is principal investigator of The LIVE Project, the largest-ever longitudinal investigation of vocational exploration among young adults. The project is supported by the Council of Independent Colleges and Lilly Endowment Inc.
Dik has delivered keynote lectures on four continents, and has published several books, including “Redeeming Work,” “Purpose and Meaning in the Workplace,” “Make Your Job a Calling” and “The Psychology of Religion and Workplace Spirituality.”
He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and American Scientific Affiliation, and is recipient of the John Holland Award for Outstanding Achievement in Career or Personality Research (APA Div. 17) and the Applied Psychology of Religion and Spirituality Award (APA Div. 36).
Dik received his B.A. in psychology from Calvin University in 1998 and his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2005.
