Azer Yalin

Yalin researches laser-based diagnostics and non-intrusive measurement of gases, plasmas, and plasma-surface interactions.

Yalin has received several awards, including the 2013 Blavatnik National Award in Physical Sciences and Engineering, the 2012 George T. Abell Outstanding Teaching and Service Faculty Award for the College of Engineering, and the 2011 Oliver R. Pennock Service Award.

Yalin received his B.S. in engineering physics from Queen’s University in 1995. He then studied mechanical and aerospace engineering at Princeton University, graduating with his M.A. in 1997 and his Ph.D. in 2000.
