Fill the day of love with learning (and hang with Daniel Tiger) at the Feb. 14 2nd Saturday at CSU Spur

What: The Colorado State University Spur campus comes alive every 2nd Saturday of the month for a day full of free, interactive, hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy. February’s theme is “Be My Neighbor,” featuring Daniel Tiger in partnership with Rocky Mountain PBS. This Saturday, you can learn about the power of kindness with Tiger, view a new art mural that portrays Colorado’s past, present and future agricultural history, and join Wiz Kid’s storytime.
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14.
Where: The CSU Spur campus at 4777 National Western Drive in Denver’s National Western Center. Parking is available in the lot north of the Vida building.
Cost: Free
List of activities: Here’s a snapshot of what visitors can expect to see and do this 2nd Saturday at Spur:
- Celebrate “Be My Neighbor” Day and meet Daniel Tiger personality from PBS KIDS’ “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.”
- Enjoy a storytime session with CSU Spur’s Wiz Kid.
- View a new, limited-time art mural based on Colorado’s agricultural heritage from nationally-known artist Detour.
- Contribute to a community donations drive.
- Play at a stream table showing the power of water and erosion.
- Watch veterinarians performing live surgery on dogs and cats in the Humane Colorado Veterinary Hospital.
- Explore virtual reality demonstrations on the Vida Building’s first floor.
