What: This year’s edition of Water in the West focuses on the theme of building bridges through collaborative water action. The symposium features speakers who will discuss everything from the science and practice of multidisciplinary teams to the agriculture industry’s role in water conservation to planning and finance.
Who: This conference brings together diverse stakeholders to share solutions to water challenges across sectors, and to create collaborative problem-solving opportunities. Past attendees range from utilities and educators to environmentalists and agriculturalists.
When: The Symposium will be held in person from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14. It will be preceded by an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 featuring a lecture by Pat Mulroy of the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution, who will discuss the collision of law and climate change as leaders negotiate agreements over water usage in the Western U.S.
