‘Celebrate Colorado State’ in April with ‘I Love CSU Day’ and Other Events
Colorado State University will “Celebrate Colorado State” during the month of April with a series of events, including “I Love CSU Day” on Monday, April 18.
The 2011 celebration of “I Love CSU Day” will take place on the Lory Student Center Plaza from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with giveaways, food, contests and more. Everyone is encouraged to wear green and gold.
“I Love CSU Day” is an opportunity for students, staff, alumni, and community members to show their Ram Pride and support higher education. The governor of Colorado proclaims “I Love CSU Day” an official state holiday each year by signing a proclamation drafted by the Student Alumni Connection, which started the event in 2001 and sponsors it each year.
A highlight of the festivities on April 18 will be a Ram Quest Challenge on campus. Participants can visit Colorado State’s Facebook page on the day of the event for information about completing the challenge. Prizes will be awarded to 100 people who can master the challenge. Ram Quest is a series of periodic contests and challenges that take Rams across campus to learn about CSU while competing to win prizes. A hint for Monday’s challenge: wear good walking shoes.
