Colorado State University Undergraduate Fine Art Exhibit at Cherry Creek Shopping Center May 22-June 6

A wide range of artwork created by Colorado State University students will be on exhibit in Cherry Creek Shopping Center’s Grand Court in a special CSU display, the Undergraduate Fine Art Program Selected Work on Exhibition, from May 22 through June 6. This is the first time CSU artwork has been on display at Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

More than 40 pieces on exhibit will include drawing, pottery, printmaking, metalsmithing, graphic design, painting, photography and fibers. CSU offers visual arts majors four degrees in nine studio concentration areas and in art history and art education. The works on display have been created by juniors, seniors and recent graduates.

Throughout their time at CSU, visual arts students learn to practice expressing ideas through art while developing skills and techniques in dynamic studio environments. Under the guidance of faculty, students are encouraged to engage in contemporary art issues and are challenged to balance their studio practice with theoretical aspects that involve focused critiques, critical dialogue and debate.

CSU’s Department of Art is part of the university’s School of the Arts. The School of the Arts provides an enriched venue in which the study and practice of art, dance, music and theater are nurtured and sustained.
