Everitt Real Estate Center to Provide Media Informational Session on Home Price Indices on Tuesday, May 5

Note to Editors: This event is for media purposes only and is not intended for publication. RSVPs are required. To RSVP, contact Emily Wilmsen at (970) 491-2336.

What/where:

The Everitt Real Estate Center in the College of Business at Colorado State University has prepared a study on House Price Indices that, for the first time, evaluates home values in Boulder, Larimer and Weld counties at a neighborhood level. A key finding of the study: Despite the economic downturn, home prices actually increased in six of the 11 major markets in northern Colorado.

An informational session on this complex data will be from 11 a.m. to noon, Room 325 in Rockwell Hall, near the corner of Meridian and Laurel avenues in Fort Collins.

Details:

John Gerhard and Sriram Villupuram with the Everitt Real Estate Center will be on hand to discuss the data with reporters. Information for the report comes from IRES LLC, which is the primary Multiple Listing Service in Northern Colorado.

The Everitt center’s house price indices are calculated for 11 major market areas in three counties (Boulder, Larimer and Weld) as well as individual census tracts in Northern Colorado, and will be reported on a semi-annual basis. The report is planned to be released in March and August each year.
