Colorado State University to Host Green and Gold Gala for Alumni and Friends
The Colorado State University Alumni Association will host Green and Gold Gala, the premier Denver alumni event of the year, at 6:30 p.m. April 2 at the Denver Marriott-City Center, 1701 California St. in Denver. Proceeds from the Green and Gold Gala support scholarship funds to assist Colorado State students in pursuing their educational goals.
The high-profile event, with more than 600 people attending, will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction. Colorado State alumni and friends will spend the evening dining at a formal dinner and dancing to the music of the well-known group, the Nacho Men. Live piano music and a coffee bar also will also be available in the reception area after dinner.
Honorary co-chairs at his year’s event include alumna Lt. Gov. Jane Norton, a 1976 Colorado State graduate, and renowned designer John Atencio. Channel 4 news anchor Jim Benemann, who graduated from Colorado State in 1978, will serve as master of ceremonies.
"We’re excited to bring together Colorado State alumni and friends to support and celebrate their loyalty to Colorado State," said Anne Broholm, alumni board member. "This is a wonderful opportunity for the Colorado State community to make a contribution to the school and students, providing funding and support for Colorado State to continue to grow in the future, while having a fun-filled night."
