Premium Nwss Rodeo Tickets, Breakfast Available to Colorado State University Alumni and Friends

Premium seat tickets to the 11 a.m. professional rodeo highlighting Colorado State University Ag Outreach Day on Jan. 15 at the National Western Stock Show are available to alumni and friends. The $15 tickets include premium seats and a complimentary breakfast.

The rodeo also includes a Catch-a-Calf contest, a crowd favorite. Since 1935, the contest has given a group of enthusiastic 4-H youth an opportunity to catch a calf that they can take home and raise as a 4-H project. Youth who are successful in catching a calf bring the animal back to compete in a livestock show at the National Western a year later and must remain in contact with contest sponsors and give them updates about the animal, its health and the lessons they’ve learned in the daily care of the animal.

Tickets are available while supplies last and can be purchased through the university’s Alumni Office at 800-286-2586.

Other university events include an opportunity to visit a booth in the Hall of Education about the university, including information about admissions, research and the university’s role in the Western lifestyle during the NWSS. Attendees will also have a chance to support a member of 4-H, a youth development program run by the university through Colorado State University Cooperative Extension, at the Junior Livestock Sale at the end of the two-week event.

The National Western Stock Show runs from Jan. 8-23 in Denver at the National Western Stock Show complex.
