Colorado State University Students Present a Storm of Fashion at the 2004 Apparel Design Show Â??fashion Tempestâ? March 28-29
The Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University will present its 2004 student apparel design show, "Fashion Tempest," March 28 – 29.
The show will be held at 7 p.m. in the Main Ballroom of the Lory Student Center, on the Colorado State campus. Ticket prices are $6 for students and $12 for non-students. Tickets are on sale at the Lory Student Center Box Office (970) 491-6444 and will also be available at the door on the nights of the event.
The show will feature original designs, ranging from women’s evening, casual, and club wear to men’s casual wear to children’s ballet wear. The unique collections were created by 29 senior design students in the apparel design and production concentration in the College of Applied Human Science’s Department of Design and Merchandising.
As the only four-year program in apparel design in Colorado, Colorado State offers students the opportunity to develop expertise in computer-aided textile and apparel design on Lectra software as used by leading firms in the apparel industry.
The show also gives students experience in special event planning; it is budgeted, planned, and produced by students and supported entirely by revenues generated from ticket sales and donations from the community.
