Colorado State University Students Go Â??beyond the Silhouetteâ? for the 2003 Apparel Design Show March 30-31

The Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University will present the 2003 student apparel design show, "Beyond the Silhouette," at 8 p.m. March 30 and 31 in the Main Ballroom of the Lory Student Center on campus.

Ticket prices for the event are $6 for students and $12 for non-students. Tickets are on sale at the Lory Student Center Box Office by calling (970) 491-6444 and will be available at the door on the nights of the event.

The show will feature original designs, ranging from casual daywear and sportswear to wearable art to evening and bridal wear, created by 22 students in the apparel design and production concentration.

As the only four-year program in apparel design in Colorado, Colorado State offers students the opportunity to develop expertise in computer-aided textile and apparel design using Lectra software, which is used by leading firms in the apparel industry. The show also gives students experience in special event planning – it is budgeted, planned and produced by students and supported entirely by revenues generated from ticket sales and donations from the community.
